They are based on ZFS, relatively inexpensive and supposedly have a rich GUI to manage storage and gather stats. Now, they need to advertise at Daytona, so they can have the Sun NAS Car.

This is the first of several “empty adventures”. I have created a mini-map made from 2-4 sets of Dwarven Forge and provided descriptions for all the rooms but have left out the encounters. This one uses 3 sets from the Den of Evil series.
It can be downloaded in pdf form here.

So, it seems that Microsoft is doing a better job at detecting pirated software and is disabling the OS on machines that use pirated versions of Windows. Apparently, Chinese users feel that they should not be punished for spending their hard-earned 5 dollars for purchasing the software and Microsoft has no right to defend its IP, especially since the Chinese government historically does not do so. Boo Hoo. If you want to use it, buy it.

Cross-Marketing that Works!

So, EA, which owns Warcraft and Warhammer, just announced this promotion. Given how many people purchase worthless collector’s editions and various other crap to get cool in-game rewards, I suspect that this will work, too and boost EA sales.
Give the guy a bonus that came up with this, the rich are going to get richer!

Um… My Character is a Paladin?
Filed Under Games | 3 Comments
So, facebook has this little time-wasting game called “Dungeons and Dragons Tiny Adventures”. You pick one of their pre-generated characters and select one of the little adventures. Once you start, it updates every 5-10 minutes or so, and you can see your rolls for specific encounters and your loot. You get treasure and can sell it or use it as needed to make your character better.
Below is a screenshot of one of the encounters. Keep in mind that my character is a paladin, albeit not a good one, I suppose.
