Just who is this Rory guy?

Good question, perhaps some of the following links will answer some of these questions. You can get a good idea of who someone is by looking at their bookmark file. Mine is full of all sorts of useful and useless information.

I am currently employed at WebTV Networks. I think my title is Sr. Systems Engineer. In reality, I am a software janitor, cleaning up other peoples' messes. Here is my corner of my office. Here is the other corner.

In a former life, I was an astronomy/physics major, and graduated with the dual major from the University of Arizona. I then went to graduate school at Cornell University in the Applied Physics program. I was supposed to be doing modeling of magnetic fields of accretion disks. Instead, I started taking care of Unix machines (because I had to in order to carry out my computational research) and well, today I am a full-fledged Unix geek. In order to prove this:

So, what do I do in my spare time? Well, I'd like to get back to playing lacrosse one of these days. I also play all kinds of role-playing, board and card games. I also write HTML and have recently discovered the joys of Photoshop ©.

So, you may ask, "Why all the Princess Diana stuff?" To be honest, I don't know. Something about the whole affair struck something within, and I felt that a tasteful tribute was in order. Incidentally, WebTV users see one set of pages, and all other browsers see another.
